Inside view: Shutters for special window shapes

Every home is unique, and so is every window. From rectangular to round windows and from roof windows to tilt-and-turn windows, the right window decoration perfectly complements the functions of the window.

In this project, our dealer Vivante Bekenkamp reveals a number of the options offered by shutters and shows how shutters can perfectly complement special windows.

Special windows and shapes

Rectangular windows, tilt-and-turn windows or triangular windows: in this home, shutters are used on a variety of window types and in various living spaces. Shutters can be fitted in several different ways. In this home, they have even been mounted on tilt-and-turn windows. The window handle is extended, to retain the tilt-and-turn function. Using shutters, the triangular window shape is further emphasised, making this unusual window opening even more of an eye-catcher.

The Primewood shutters used in this home have 63mm-wide louvers, and are equipped with silentview operation (with no operating rod in the centre of the louvers). The colour used on these shutters, Farrow & Ball Off-Black 57, is not part of the standard JASNO collection but (for an extra charge) is available as an option; as indeed are practically all RAL and NCS colours.
