Now that the temperatures are falling outside, the time has come for Christmas films, hot cocoa and of course Christmas decorations in your home. The Christmas tree is often the centre point for your home decorations. Instead of opting for just one large tree, why not try something different this year: buy several smaller Christmas trees, place them in an attractive pot, basket or box, and stand them on a wooden footstool or sledge, at various points around the living room. For a special celebratory effect, stack beautifully wrapped Christmas gifts or freshly chopped logs around. This will create a real touch of Christmas at various points around your home!
Try replacing the current cushion covers on your sofa with new covers with a winter pattern. The result is an immediate new wintery look in the seating area! And what about a comfortable thick fleece blanket with a snowflake pattern? Deliciously warm, soft and a real atmosphere enhancer! Close the blinds and switch the Christmas film to play!
Select a tablecloth with an attractive Christmas motif and leave it permanently on the dining table. Finish with a beautiful table decoration or some aromatic candles and everything is complete!
Have you got Christmas tree balls to spare? Arrange them in a see-through vase with a layer of slow flakes at the bottom, and add a few pine cones. Place the vase in the window and give passers-by a real touch of Christmas, as they look between your shutters, blinds, folds or swings.
Don’t forget to switch on your playlist featuring all the Christmas hits like Last Christmas, Jingle Bell Rock and All I want for Christmas Is You while decorating your home. And remember that essential finishing touch – a Christmas cookie (or two) ;-).
